Upon research into handwriting recognition I have discovered that there are not any libraries out there that I will be able to use which will not cause issues with licensing. I have found articles about how to implement this however the accuracy of this will depend upon the training data that is used to match the writing to letters. A new test program has been created to test out a method that will work for letter recognition which can be encorperated into my concept of the design. Doing so will allow me to explore methods before i start the design of the complete project itself. The first test program which was a simple test to try matching hand drawn shapes can be downloaded (http://dev.yeticode.co.uk/jt/dev/ImageBoxDraw.exe,http://dev.yeticode.co.uk/jt/dev/ImageBoxDraw.tar.gz ) it requires .NET 2.0 or Mono.
